Is the EquilAI Chat Widget Accessible to Every Visitor?
Yes. The chat widget keeps its text readable at WCAG AA contrast whatever brand colours you choose, supports keyboard and screen reader use, and behaves properly on mobile screens. None of it needs configuration; it is simply how the widget works.
What Happens With Your Brand Colours?
You pick the colours; the widget does the rest. For every background colour you configure, the widget computes its own text colour so the contrast always meets the WCAG AA threshold for normal text. There is no combination of brand colours that produces unreadable chat bubbles, so design freedom never comes at a visitor's expense.
Does It Work Without a Mouse?
It does. The widget can be opened, used and closed entirely from the keyboard. Focus moves into the chat when it opens, every control carries a proper label for assistive technology, new replies are announced to screen readers without interrupting the user, and pressing Escape closes the chat, or just the image viewer when one is open.
What About Small Screens?
On mobile, the chat opens as a clean fullscreen panel that adapts to the visible screen area, including when the on-screen keyboard appears, so the input field never hides behind the keyboard.
Why Does This Matter?
Accessibility requirements for customer-facing services keep tightening across the EU, and support chat is exactly the kind of interface those rules cover. More importantly, support is for everyone: a chat window that some visitors cannot read or operate is not doing its job. With EquilAI, that part is taken care of out of the box.
